The sweet smell of soft mallows was mouthwatering as you walked up stairs and headed to a room full of activity. The finished products look fantastic and are sure to sell out quickly!!!

Sportshall Athletics
Some of our Pr. 6 and 7 pupils represented the school at a sportshall athletics event at Airdrie Leisure Centre on Friday. This was a highly competitive event to qualify for the NL finals. Our fingers are crossed that our group of athletes have scored high enough. They are to be commended for their great effort and determination on the day. Fantastic work boys and girls.
Dana comes to school
International singing star and Eurovision Song Winner Dana joined us this morning for a school assembly. She sang to the children and had the whole school join in with her song to Our Lord. It was both beautiful and memorable. Some of our children also entertained Dana and her husband Damien with a few Scottish songs. This went down a treat as Dana had shared that she had quite a bit of scottish ancestry. As Dana left she marvelled at the 3D models on display in the foyer that represented the landmarks of Coatbridge. Dana didn’t need a tour round Coatbridge it was all on display in the school foyer.
Room 12 Enterprise
Our hardworking pupils in Room 12 have been busy all week working on their Christmas Enterprise project in preparation for our Christmas Fair on Saturday 8th November. As you can see lots of planning has went into their business venture, including marketing and packaging. The finished product looks fantastic with the pupils going into full production next week. We are shure they will sell out fast.
Badger the Mystical Mutt
The boys and girls of Pr 1 -4 had a visit from author Laura Jackson and her friend Badger! They had an entertaining morning listening to stories about Badger from his collection of books. The school bought several sets of books for classes which Laura signed for the school. Some lucky children also received their own signed copies.
Dana is coming to visit
The school will be delighted to welcome former winner of the Eurovision Song Contest ‘Dana’ to the school tomorrow. Dana plans to sing to the children and also teach them a song. We are all looking forward to this special visit.
