HMI Survey
The school is delighted that a return visit by HMI week beg. 26th February will provide all stakeholders involved with the school an opportunity to share the great work that is taking place at St.Augustine’s and to discuss the ongoing improvement agenda that is enabling all the wonderful children at St.Augustine’s to develop as successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors and responsible citizens. Internet Safety with Room 9
This week the children in room 9 have been learning about internet safety. We had a visit from Constable Maxwell who gave us some great tips on how we can stay safe online.
Room 15 are believers
Primary 3 – Badminton
Here are Primary 3 Room 12 practising and improving their skills in badminton to develop hand and eye coordination.
STEM in Primary 7 – Spaghetti Bridges
Primary 7 worked in co-operative groups today to build bridges from spaghetti. Some wonderful discussions took place and the classroom was a hive of activity. Mrs Drummond thinks we have some future architects or designers amongst our pupils.
Multiplication in Primary 2
P2 have been learning the new skill of multiplication. They worked with partners using materials and were able to create equal sets and record their sums. They could even find answers like 7×6 & 9×4! Now that is impressive… maths geniuses! Soon they will begin to learn times tables & use their new knowledge to solve problems.
