SCHOOL CLOSURE – Frid. 2nd March

Due to ongoing weather conditions, North Lanarkshire Council has taken the decision to close all schools and nurseries on Friday 2nd of March. We hope that all our St.Augustine’s family and friends are safe, warm and enjoying the time off.

Mrs.Drummond has been very busy on our Twitter account with lots of suggestions for things to do during this time off.  We would love to see your snowy day pictures. If you would like to join in the fun, post your pictures to @StAugustines_PS.

Well done to our new house captains and vice captains who introduced their first whole school assembly this morning for our monthly awards.

February was another busy and successful month for our school and as you can see some wonderful achievements have been made.  We have some finalists in cross country, gymnastics, swimming and netball.  We wish everyone good luck.

Well done to our maths, writing and artists of the month we are so proud of you all.

Lent

It has been great to see such a good attendance of children at the early morning Mass at 8.00am.  To support children and families and to encourage an attendance at Mass during Lent breakfast will be provided in the school afterwards.  Cereal and fruit juice is provided.
