ELECTION FEVER

The boys and girls of Pr.7 really demonstrated their skills of persuasion as they presented their speeches and manifestos to their classmates this week. All candidates were eager to demonstrate they had the qualities that would make them ideal House Captains and Vice Captains and that they could be trusted to lead by example and to be ambassadors of the school. Tough decisions. Look out for the announcement in regard of who were successfully elected. It was great to see so many children putting themselves forward for election. Well done boys and girls!

Active Maths in Primary 1

Primary one have been very busy since they began school last week. They have been learning about all of the characters in Magic Land, Toy Land and Dinosaur Land and have been learning to count with them.

Some of the Active Maths games they have been playing are; Number line Jigsaws, Magic Numbers, Bowling, Action Cards and making dinner for the characters in our very own class Counting Castle! They have had lots of great fun learning.

Primary one have also been introduced to our Numicon Maths Resource. They used our Numicon Number Lines to make their own number lines using the numicon shapes, this helped them to count independenty along the number line.

A very busy first week in Primary One!
