Room 15 had a visit from our scientist, Willie, today. It was our first visit from him since we got our trout eggs last week. Willie was very impressed that we have only lost 4 and has said that we should see them starting to hatch soon. We are very excited to meet our little alevins. He’ll be back next week to check in with us again!

OUR EGGS HAVE ARRIVED! Our PE session was cut short by the arrival of our very own scientist Willie! He had a very special delivery for us, one we have been eagerly waiting on. We are now responsible for 199 Brown trout eggs but we are up for the challenge and are looking forward to the next few weeks!

Our Hatchery has arrived! We were very happy to have 2 scientists from The Clyde Foundation in our class today setting up and showing us how to manage the Hatchery. We now have some time to get the water regulated and managed at the correct temperature. They were very impressed with our knowledge already!
