End of Term Fun Day
The whole school enjoyed the last day of term and celebrated their own achievement in remaining on Green as part of our promotion of positive behaviour across the school. It was great to see the look on everyone’s face as they entered the hall and saw the massive inflatable assault course and the variety of stations set up around the hall. Good to be Green has been a huge success across the school and is sending out a clear message in regard of what is acceptable and unacceptable behaviour across the school. The school thanks all parents for their support in making our whole school programme a success this term.
Heartstart Training
The school greatly thanks the senior pupils of St.Ambrose and Mrs.Sullivan who came along to the school to teach the children of Pr.6 about how to deal with an unconscious casualty and also how to administer CPR. It is wonderful to see such excellent partnership working and to welcome former pupils back to the school.
End of Term Fun Day
Friday will be a non-uniform day for all pupils across the school. Children who have managed to remain on Green for the majority of the term will be rewarded with a visit to the school hall for some activities and the giant assault course. The school aims to reward children who have followed the rules, shown respect and remained on Green each term with an end of term treat. Well done boys and girls.
Book Fair
Pr.1/2 visit the library
Room 3 children enjoyed a visit to Coatbridge library today and enjoyed a storyteller session. From the look on their faces they clearly enjoyed the experience.
Pr.7 Sharing their learning
Our inventive and creative Pr.7 pupils invited the boys and girls of Room 1 to view their creative art work that used fruit and vegetales to create interesting characters.
Week Ahead
BOOK FAIR – This week we have the Book Fair joining us for the week. Books will be available for purchase throughout the school week and also at our parents evenings.
Work Experience students from St.Ambrose will join the school this week. We hope they enjoy their experience and it makes them consider a highly rewarding career in teaching.
Please note that due to teacher absence three classes will have their parents evening postponed until sometime after the October break. Pupils in Mrs.McLean (Pr.2), Mr.O’Dowd (Pr.3) and Mrs.Murray’s (Pr.6) class are affected. A letter to affected classes will be issued on Monday. Apologies for any inconvenience.
