The Pupil Leadership Team at Stane Primary School is formed from pupils in Primary 7. Each pupil was selected following a speech outlining their key skills and qualities.
This year, the PLT consists of two School Captains and two Vice-Captains and two House Captains for each of the four Houses.
The remit of the School and Vice-Captains are:
- to represent the views of the Pupil Forum.
- to meet regularly with the Head teacher to make decisions about school issues.
- to have an input on the School Improvement Plan
- to represent the school at community and authority events
- to welcome and provide tours to guests and dignitaries.
- to set an example to the other pupils in the school
- to present the ‘Worker of the Week’ certificates at assembly.
- to help prepare and present aspects of the Celebrating Success assembly.
- to update the ‘Celebrating Success’ display.
The remit of the House Captains are:
- to lead the School Houses in events and competitions.
- to collect and total the House Points each week and update the House total display.
- to set an example to the other pupils in the House
- to meet regularly with the Head teacher to make decisions about school issues.
- to have an input on the School Improvement Plan
New Captains will be elected each year and pupils may only serve for one year as a member of the Pupil Leadership Team.
