As you will have read in our Newsletter, our pupils are getting out and about twice a week to walk a mile together.
Studies have shown that this regular exercise can have an extremely positive impact on attention in class, with our teachers already reporting an improvement! Keep it up boys and girls, you’re doing really well!
On Tuesday 16th of February, we were visited by Jimmy from ‘Educational Egg.’ Jimmy presented to our Captains Club pupils and shared his expertise about all things feathered!
The pupils were also introduced to Bebe, a young cockatiel who was a big hit!
Finally, we were given an incubator with 24 quail eggs, which we will be looking after over the coming weeks. Our chicks are due to hatch at the end of the month, and all of our pupils are keen to see what, or who, will peck their way out! The children will then be given the chance to watch the young birds grow during the early stages of their lives.
On the 18th of February, we held a Curriculum Development Evening, which was very well attended by our parents. Mrs McCulloch and the class teachers were sharing the strategies that we use at Rochsolloch Primary School for introducing and teaching various Numeracy concepts.
Luckily, some of our pupils were on hand to help the mums and dads with the really tricky stuff!
We would like to thank all of the parents, and pupil helpers who attended and helped to make this event so worthwhile!
