Exciting times in Ravenswood Primary School! Today our senior enterprise team held the grand opening of their stationery shop- Super Supplies! We were delighted by our supportive customers and had a very successful first day. Each month we will be providing the staff and pupils of our school with a chance to buy new exciting products. 20% of our profits each month will be going to support our business partner- Starthcarron Hospice.
Our SHANARRI SQUAD kicked off with Question and Answer sessions with our House Captain candidates. Our House Captain candidates answered a variety of questions devised by our children. Our new Primary 1 pupils got to know the children in their house 🙂
Look out for new session PE times in Homework diaries! Remember to bring a change of shoes, t-shirt and shorts on PE days. A water bottle is always a good idea!

We are very proud to announce that after our assessment visit from Gerry McMurtie (UNICEF Senior Professional Advisor) our school Ravenswood is officially recognised as a UNICEF Rights Respecting School! We are so pleased!

Our Harvest assembly takes place on Thursday 8th October. All parents and carers are welcome to attend.
Primary 6 and Primary 7 pupils will be speaking about Harvest and our whole school will be singing songs to celebrate the Harvest.
Well it is official! Ravenswood Primary certainly has talent. Our school talent show was bursting with class entries from the different year groups. Every entry had the audience roaring with delight. The opening and closing were choreographed by our HT (Crazy Cat Coull) and PA to the HT (Perfect Patterson). The children prepared their own routines in their own time. We had dancers, singers and cheerleaders to name a few. Thank you for supporting our school and making our children feel appreciated for the wonderful talents they share with us here each day.
The whole school was very excited today to witness the eclipse. Every class had prepared their own safe viewers and stood patiently as the playground began to get darker. Unfortunately there was plenty cloud cover over our viewing spot in the playground. This meant that we did not get the view that we had hoped for. It was still a very exciting time and a super learning experience for everyone involved.
We are looking forward to meeting all of our new Primary 1 pupils.
