We are hosting an Active Literacy Workshop on Wednesday 16th November at 9.30am and 6.30pm. This will be a fun filled, informative event where you can see our children working their socks off as they learn.
Two presentations will take place, an infant and upper school. You will e encouraged to visit the presentations and lessons that best suit your child’s needs. There will be lots of information about how you can help your child and some freebies from the ‘Read, Write, Count’ initiative for our infant learners.
If you would like to learn more about ‘Read, Write, Count’ have a look at their website by following the link below.
Primary 7 have had a busy few weeks as Ravenswood prepares to vote for the house captains of 2016-2017. Campaigns are going strong as our Primary 7’s from all three houses compete to be the best and earn the captain title for their house. Speeches are at the ready! We can’t wait to find out the results from Friday’s election.
Primary 7 dressed up and enjoyed lots of fun number activities today for NSPCC Number Day. Our favourite activity was Number Spelling, where we worked out the numerical value of our names using a telephone keypad!
Mrs Simpson had an easy day in primary 1/2! First we had a clever primary 7 come and teach the children about Scotland from a book she had written herself. After lunch we had a fantastic presentation from a confident young lady in primary 4. Then some super stars from our own class shared their own Scotland books! Mrs Spowart and I will soon be out of a job!
This confident young lady captivated her p1/2 audience today. They learned lots of new facts.
This Primary 7 lassie let us read her book about Scotland this morning. We thought it was pure dead brilliant !
These clever boys have written their own books about Scotland.
