Primary 1/2 have been busy planting with the help of Mr Mulholland. We have planted potatoes and peas. We check them regularly and make sure they have been watered and fed.

Super Supplies- Our Enterprising Heroes
Exciting times in Ravenswood Primary School! Today our senior enterprise team held the grand opening of their stationery shop- Super Supplies! We were delighted by our supportive customers and had a very successful first day. Each month we will be providing the staff and pupils of our school with a chance to buy new exciting products. 20% of our profits each month will be going to support our business partner- Starthcarron Hospice.
Celebrating Burns Day!

Super Scientists in P3
Primary 3 pupils were busy investigating different liquids and their viscosity! We made our predictions first and explored what makes a fair test before carrying out our experiment.
Outdoor Learning with P1/2
Primary 1/2 love being outdoors. So far this year it has helped us to hone our skills in technology, maths, literacy, health and wellbeing, science and art. We are looking forward to many more opportunities to get out and about in our school grounds and the local area in 2017.
Snowy Spelling in P1/2
Primary 1/2 love to practise our spelling outdoors and we are never put off by the weather! Earlier this month we practised painting our words in the snow.
Does primary 1/2 float your boat?
Before the holidays primary 1/2 did some science investigations looking at objects that float and sink. We enjoyed this so much we wanted to make some boats! Over the holidays we were set some special homework. Make a boat that floats!

Walking and Scooting with p1/2
The pupils at Ravenswood have started the new term off in super sporty style! We have all been walking a mile every day! P1/2 decided to link this exercise with our information handling and record our laps using tally marks! We also like to use the school’s scooters to help us on our way!
Meeting new friends
Last week we met some new faces- the lovely primary ones who will be joining us in August. They had great fun meeting our current primary 1 and primary 1/2, having a tour of the infant department and playing with their buddies.
The “ee” family
P1/2 have been learning about the phoneme “ee”. We loved making an “ee” family to help us remember different ways to write the phoneme.
