On Friday, P2  had the opportunity to get involved with other school children at the North Lanarkshire Sport Showcase in Wishaw Sports Centre.   They got taster sessions in judo, taekwondo, rugby, dance, skipping, bowls and team games.  As well has having a lot of fun, they developed their movement skills and worked in teams with the new friends they made.

Primary 2 are making a splash with our  “Under the Sea” learning. Our focus this week was the octopus  and we  spent time researching interesting facts on the iPad or in our books.   We then took all  the facts we found and compiled them into a report (our writing focus this term).   We also made a very impressive large class octopus with suckers on its tentacles.

Today Primary 2 started  our learning about symmetry.   We had so much fun seeing what happens to  our shapes (circle, square, triangle and rectangle) when we put them alongside the mirror.   The P2 children all agreed it was “very cool and amazing!”
