What an amazing time we all had at our very first Christmas Jumper Day in Orchard Primary! We took part in so many fun events and did lots of crafting, sang songs and watched the Father Christmas Movie. We also enjoyed our delicious Christmas Lunch – thank you to all the catering staff who made our festive meal.

This term P1 will be learning about traditional circus acts, some famous circus performers and how the circus has changed today. Today we shared what we already knew about the circus and what we would like to find out. Our purposeful play activities will include drawing a clown on the computer, making a crazy car for the clowns, designing popcorn bags, making posters and tickets and, best of all, dressing up and practising some circus acts! We will learn how to spin plates, walk a tightrope (on the floor), spin a diablo, juggle and twirl ribbons.
