Outdoor learning in P5

Today P5 completed some maths and problem solving activities outside. The first challenge was for each group to stand on a mat. They had to turn the mat over without anyone stepping off of it,

Thr next problem to be solved was that each group was given pieces of paper with letters on them. The only info they had was to imagine they were stranded on a desert island…this was a clue to the words. This task had to be complete pd without talking to each other. All groups finally managed…with some help from classmates in the final word which was tricky! See video below.

Finally the class were to “dab” while their partner used that persons shadow to draw the dab ‘angle’. They then used a protractor to ,ensure the angle of the “dab”.

lots of fun and a beautiful day for some outdoor learning.
