The focus for P1’s pupil voice session last week was Rights Respecting. The children watched, and listened to Mrs Johnstone reading, an online version of the Cinderella story. The children could explain how unfairly Cinderella was being treated by others in the story. We then linked this to the ‘Rights of the Child’ and talked about our rights in and out of school. The boys and girls then wrote a sentence about this and drew a picture. Next week we plan to focus on responsibilities we have in and outside of school.
