We read The Snow Lambs by Debi Gliori. It was about Sam and his clever and bravery sheep dog, Bess. We got a lovely surprise at the end when 2 little snow lambs were born in the kitchen! We also watched a film of the book and spent the day involved in related activities. We did some spelling with words from the book, we found words we knew in the story and did some sheepy sums. We sequenced the story and wrote about it. In the afternoon we learned how to curl paper and we made curly surly lambs – watch out for our spring frieze soon! We finished the day by telling each other about our favourite book.
