Today Primary 2 were working on some Active tasks during maths.

We had spooky spider plates with numbers on them. We had to find the matching ‘addition spiders’ by working on our mental addition strategies.

One group had to roll 2 dice and and add the dots, then build a tower that matched their answer.

Some children had a target number and had to problem solve lots of questions about that number.

Another group had to complete adding sums and match them to the right column on a board that had the choices ‘more than’ ‘less than’ and ‘the same as’.
