This week in LCSC P5/6/7 we have been learning about the names for all the different food groups – carbohydrates, proteins, dairy, fruits and vegetables and foods that are high in salt, sugar and fat. We began to discuss what some of the food groups provide our bodies with – for example carbohydrates give us energy.
We also explored the ways in which we need to limit some foods and eat more of others in order to stay healthy.
