States of Matter

We have been learning about the 3 states of matter – solids liquids and gases. We now know that the molecules within each move differently. We found ways today of illustrating how the molecules within each state look.

In a solid the molecules are all tightly packed together and have no room to move, they can only vibrate. The molecules in a liquid have more space to move and slide past each other. In a gas the molecules are very spaced out and have freedom to  move around.
