Primary 3/4L have had a marvelous, fantastic, awesome, super first week in Orchard Primary School! We all agree that the things we like best so far are our new friends in our class, but we also like our old friends too! We just love our shiny new classroom (we have a Promethian Board!) and all the new furniture and resources, but most of all we love our new playground!
On Monday we went on a scavenger hunt exploring our new school – we sneaked around like quiet little mice so we didn’t distract anyone. We found the quiet room, the GP Room (General Practice Room), the Music Room, the Assembly Hall and the Dinner Hall. We also met our new Head Teacher, Mrs Woodward, she’s cool!
We have been playing getting to know you games like Hedgehogs where one person hides and the rest of the class have to guess who is missing. We have also been playing maths games using Numicon and we made a class jigsaw with adjectives to describe us. We have done Music with Mrs Scallan’s class, and we have done lots of activities about the Gruffalo.
We are all excited to find out who will be the first to win Mr. MacLeod’ ‘Star of the Week’ trophy – it will be close as everyone has worked really hard and followed the class rules we made together:
Follow instructions first time.
Always try your best.
Always be kind.
Look after our class.
We have had a brilliant week and think it will be the most fabulous, amazing, tremendous, thrilling and exciting year ever(guess who has been doing great work on adjectives!).
Please keep checking the blog for our regular updates,
Thanks
P3/4L with Mr. MacLeod, Mrs. McAteer and Mrs Reid
