Our Lady and St. Francis Primary School

Week Ending 19th May 2017

On Monday we had the first in a block of visits from ABC music. The children enjoyed participating in some active music activities and learning a little bit of Gaelic.
Our context is now ‘New Beginnings’ and we have been focusing on growing this week. Some of us have been to buy seeds in Wilko to allow us all to plant outdoors. Drawing and painting has very much been focused on – line, shape and colour, which I am sure you have seen in the flower display in the cloakroom and in the pictures the children have been bringing home. This has given us the opportunity to learn new words and phrases in the context of plants.
As part of our Maths outcome we have been discussing the months of the year and dates that are important to us, mainly our birthdays.
