Pupils normally transfer between the ages of 11 ½ and 12 ½ so that they will have the opportunity to complete at least 4 years of Secondary Education. Parents will be informed of the arrangements no later than December of the year preceding the date of transfer at the start of a new session.

The Head Teacher of Our Lady’s High school is Mrs Louisa McGraw, and the Depute Head responsible for P7/S1 transfer this session is Mr Derek Lang.

A planned series of visits by staff to our school takes place throughout the session, as well as the opportunity for Cathedral pupils to the secondary school they will be transferring to.  The culmination of the transition programme is a two day visit in June.
