Our Primary 7 young learners were out and about across Cathedral Primary School when they met Mrs Duffy during her learning visits, showcasing their impressive mathematical skills in action.
The boys were busy measuring the perimeters of different shapes and calculating their areas, applying their knowledge of mathematical formulae to accurately record their findings. They demonstrated excellent skills in predicting, measuring, calculating and checking their results, showing real precision and confidence in their approach.
It was fantastic to see our young mathematicians applying their learning so purposefully, using mathematical language and explaining their thinking as they worked. Their accuracy, resilience and ability to put their mathematical knowledge into practice were particularly impressive.
At Cathedral, we are developing confident, capable and resilient learners who can apply their skills, embrace challenge and make connections between their learning and the world around them. A fantastic example of Mathematics in action!
