Our Primary 7 learners have been developing their ‘Talk for Writing’ skills through a focus on suspense. Using the model text Zelda Claw and the Rain Cat, they explored a suspense toolkit, identifying and discussing the key features and techniques used by the author to engage the reader.

The learners then took their learning a step further by creating actions to support the story, recording their performances and confidently presenting them to their peers. This engaging approach is helping our learners to develop their vocabulary, expression, storytelling, speaking and listening skills, while building confidence in their ability to communicate effectively.

It is wonderful to see our Primary 7 learners continuing to develop their literacy skills and making such positive progress on their learning journey. Keep up the fantastic work.
