Primary 6 master builders bring the human body to life!

Primary 6 have been busy exploring the wonders of the human body — and today they took their learning to an impressive new level during an Explore and Extend activity. Using plastic bottles, straws, balloons and plenty of teamwork, our young scientists constructed working models of the heart, lungs and diaphragm.

Their models didn’t just look the part — they worked too. Pupils demonstrated how the diaphragm moves to help the lungs inflate and deflate, showing how oxygen is inhaled and carbon dioxide is exhaled. They also explained the role of the heart in pumping blood around the body, describing each organ’s function with confidence and accuracy.

A huge well done to our Primary 6 learners — your curiosity, creativity and scientific thinking were outstanding today.
