This week, our young learners have loved getting out and about in our local community, keeping their eyes peeled for the early signs of spring. During our walk, the children learned about road safety — practising how to cross safely and talking about the important signs to look for before stepping onto the road. Did you spot our very own zebra crossing in the nursery grounds?
Our adventure continued with a visit to the local shop, where the children carefully chose flower seeds to plant in our garden. This sparked lots of conversations about what plants need to grow — sunlight, water, and plenty of care. We can’t wait to watch them develop over the coming weeks.
Back at the nursery, our learners explored a selection of new fruits, using their senses to look, touch and taste. Some of our extra peppers and apples were then put to creative use as we dipped them in paint to make beautiful patterned prints. A week filled with a wonderful mix of learning, exploring and creativity!
