Our Lady of Good Aid Cathedral Primary School

Primary 1 inspired by fire service

As part of their People who help us topic, Primary 1 learners met members of the Scottish Fire Service on Friday 2nd May. A fire engine visited the school grounds and the children had the opportunity to find out about the various pieces of fire-fighting equipment, sit inside the engine and even try out the hose!

Developing the Young Workforce is an integral part of Cathedral’s curriculum, so it was great to see the children so inspired by our visitors from Motherwell Fire Station and talking about how they might like to be fire fighters when they grow up.

His Majesty’s Inspectors of Education (HMIe) will carry out an inspection of Cathedral Primary School and Nursery Class during the week commencing Monday 12th May.
