Mrs Loose runs Glasgow 10k for vital cause

As members of our school community know, Mrs McCarthy was diagnosed with a brain tumour in February. Any individual who has been lucky enough to have had Mrs McCarthy as their teacher over the years will know just how inspirational she is… and she has continued to be an absolute inspiration in the way she’s faced her recent circumstances.

Inspired by her dear friend, Mrs Loose has decided to run the Glasgow Women’s 10k to raise money for Braintrust, a charity that delivers vital services to support the brain tumour community. Mrs Loose writes:

“I’m running the Glasgow Women’s 10k this year for the first time in 10 years. I’ve been inspired by my beautiful friend Julie who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour and hasn’t stopped fighting since. She’s been on an unimaginable journey these past few months but her strength and unbreakable spirit is what has made me get up off the couch and get running!! I’m running for Brainstrust, a charity that delivers vital services to support the brain tumour community. Please help me raise some money for this amazing cause.”

If any members of our school community, or friends of the school, would like to contribute to this important cause, Mrs Loose’s ‘Just Giving’ page can be accessed via the link below:
