Primary 5 spend fascinating day of learning at Dynamic Earth

Primary 5 enjoyed a fascinating day of learning at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh on Friday 31st May. The children took an immersive, interactive journey through the story of our extraordinary planet, starting with the Big Bang. They rocketed through the universe billions of times faster than the speed of light, felt the effects of a real volcano, got closer to understanding the polar ice caps by touching an iceberg, stared in wonder at the Aurora Borealis, plunged to the dark depths of the ocean and avoided rainstorms in a tropical rainforest. Following their recent class topic on Space, the visit to Dynamic Earth’s incredible planetarium was a particular highlight for our budding Primary 5 scientists.
