Primary 1/2

Well done to the boys and girls who have taken part in the Sumdog challenges this week. The house is now open for you to collect your rewards! I will set new challenges on Monday.
Today is Friday, which is normally our day to have Golden Time. I hope you spend yours today out playing! Maybe you could try some of the Physical activities posted by Mr Henderson and Miss Marchant this week. Or if you have a pool look for objects in your home/garden and see if they float or sink.
Have a lovely weekend everyone. I miss you lots!

Primary 3/4 – 24.4.20

Hello everyone

Well done to the boys and girls who took part in our Sumdog challenge on Addition and Subtraction. I have been keeping track of your progress all week and I have seen some impressive scores! I have opened the house on Sumdog for you as a reward.

I will be posting again on Monday with new spelling words for you to focus on and a new Sumdog challenge – who can guess what it might be about this time?!

I know there are a lot of keen drawers in the class so I found this drawing challenge that you might like to try. It has over 50 different ideas of things you could draw! If you have a go I would love to see what some of your drawings look like 🙂

Have a lovely weekend, remember to stay safe and enjoy some of this beautiful weather!

Missing you all

Family Contact

Hi Everyone

I have tried my best to contact most families by telephone . This is just for a catch up and to see how you all are. If I havent managed to talk to you  , I’ ve left a voicemail if I could. Some phones did not accept the incoming call or did not have voicemail facility.

If any of you would like me to call please just email me on-

ht@oldmonkland.n-lanark.sch.uk

I will call you back as soon as I can. Also if any families have changed their main telephone contact during this time of school closure , please email me and I will update our records for you.

Take care and stay safe everyone

P7 – Science in Coatbridge High

Hi Primary 7!

I have been looking at the Coatbridge High Science Dept Twitter page. If you are heading to CHS then perhaps you can get someone from home to go on to their Twitter page and meet the staff! They have made little profiles to help you get to know them a bit better. It also says that the first topic they do with their S1 classes is on forensic science, that sounds amazing! I wonder who your teacher will be?

Here is a link to the Twitter page, you do not need an account to view it: https://twitter.com/ScienceInCHS

Alternatively, you can get someone from home to search for @ScienceInCHS if they have a Twitter account.

If I find any other useful websites like this one I will pass them on.

Take care today.

Welcome Back :)

Food Recipes to try at home with an Adult

Craft activities to try at home with an Adult

Hi Boys & Girls,

I hope that you and your families are all safe and well and had a lovely Easter time. It’s been great to have some nice weather to get out and do our daily exercise – hopefully the sun keeps shining! It is sad not to see you all and hear about how you all are and how your Easter break was but we are thinking about each and every one of you and hope you are all staying safe, well and happy. I see that your Teachers have posted loads of fantastic activities for you to do, I hope that you enjoy them and keep working hard even although it’s at home (remember to make time for fun too!) I have attached some food and craft activities above that you could maybe try with your adult – something else to keep you learning and busy. Take care boys and girls and stay safe.
