Two girls in P7b delivered a very spooky lesson yesterday. They asked the children to design and paint over glass jars to create scary glass jar art for Halloween.

Google Expeditions came to visit us today. We had great fun being taken to space using virtual goggles.
SUPER SCIENCE in P7b
We mixed hydrogen peroxide and yeast and then we mixed vinegar and bicarbonate of soda together. We wanted to mix 2 ingredients together to see what would happen.
Below are some of the pictures of the experiment. The excitement was fab!
Primary 7 wanted to swap roles with the teacher. They have taught Art, RME, Drama and PE so far. What a fantastic time they have had.
Mrs Reid, “I have been super impressed and blown away by the level of planning and creative ideas that have went into each lesson. The skills and talents that the children learn outwith school are incredible.”
Rachel, “I personally thought my lesson went very well and I think everyone enjoyed it. I did find it tricky, at times, trying to get everyone’s attention, although they were having so much fun: this was a good thing.”
WATCH THIS SPACE FOR THE REST OF OUR UPCOMING LESSONS!
We created origami stars using 12 pieces of paper, it was tricky to start with, but we got there in the end! Why don’t you have a go?
Primary 7b were fascinated by the Rosetta satellite and watching the end of the mission. Rosetta was crashed into a comet so it didn’t become space junk! We then became news reporters and created a Drama sketch.
As part of our exploring space theme, we created abstract art using Peter Thorpe’s work as a stimulus!
On Thursday 13th October, Mr Smith, PT of Airdrie Academy maths department, visited us and gave us some really challenging activities. He also gave us some great tips for multiplying larger numbers. It was incredible. Thanks so much from all P7
Primary 7pupils were charged with the task of planning and implementing a lesson of their choice. They had to think about the planning and implementation of the skill development as well as the task itself. This was very successful but also challenging. Some of the positive points made by peers were-
“They made good decisions”
“The games were organised”
“The explained well and let us pick our teams”
“Lots of variety”
Well done!
