Primary 7 working at the carwash!!!

Primary 7 had a fantastic day working at the carwash as part of our whole school fundraising day. We managed to raise just over £170 from the car wash alone. Thanks to everyone who helped, donated or came along to get their cars washed. It is always greatly appreciated. Here are some pictures of P7 in full swing…

Woodland Explorers

Group 3 – Week 4

We participated in lots of role-play this week as we pretended to be animals.  Mrs Leopard pounced and Mrs Horsey galloped down to the woods.  Mrs Leopard thought it would be a good idea to make a special den for her and Mrs Horsey.  We worked together using a range of resources to create a wonderful den.  Have a look at the photos.  What do you think of it?  It was so comfy that Mrs Leopard didn’t want to come out of it!  She even made a camp fire in it to keep her paws warm.

We were also busy making a gate for the main den.  We gathered lots of big sticks and stacked them on top of each other to make it high.  Some of the sticks were even taller than us!

We learned how to use a rubber mallet safely and used it to tap tent pegs into the ground.

Woodland Explorers

Group 2 – Week 3

This week we had the opportunity to use a special tool called a rubber mallet.  We learned how to use it safely as we tapped tent pegs into the ground.  Once the pegs were all in we worked together to wrap/tie ribbons around them to make a giant spiders web.  It looked very colourful.  Have a look at our photo……….what do you think of it?

We were also busy making tree rubbings of our favourite trees.  Some of them felt smooth and some were very bumpy.

Using the iPad we took turns to take photos of our friends as they played.  We all looked very happy in them.  Can you guess which photos we have taken?

Samba Dancing

As part of our topic, P5 have been learning about Brazilian Samba Dance.

Working in groups they came up with a routine and then performed it to the rest of class!
