We went on a trip to the garage to explore the tools, machinery and vehicles.

The mini bus picked us up in the car park and took us to the garage. We held hands to keep safe in the car park and put our seat belts on in the mini bus. We went into the workshop and John showed us around and gave us the opportunity to use some of the tools and show us some machinery. We had to listen carefully to John as he gave us instructions how to keep safe when exploring the workshop and accessing the tools and machinery.  We had the opportunity to press the button and watch the ramp lift the car up and down.  Some of us sat in the car while the ramp took us up and down.  We saw lots of print and signs during our visit.  We recognised some familiar signs and learned some new signs and what they meant.  We had the opportunity to investigate all the rooms and explore all the signs.  We also had a delicious snack before heading back to nursery.

“I opened the door of the workshop, I looked under the car, it had no wheels.  I would like to go and see it again.”

“I liked playing with the car and looking at the tools, I went on the bus and had a seat belt on.  We crossed the road, we had to stop and look for cars.”

“I went on the mini bus.  I had my seat belt on.  The car went away up, I pressed the button.”

“I sat in the car and went up and up.  John pushed the button.  I saw lots of tools, a spanner, screw drivers and mini screw drivers.  I saw the tyres out the window when the car took me up and up.”
