Bunny and Rainbow Room (0-3’s)

We have ‘Little Wish Bags’ for parent/carers to use with their children at home.  Each bag focuses on children’s curiosity, communication, movement and co-ordination and relationships.

When you meet with your child’s keyworker every 12 weeks, a bag will be chosen with you to take home and use for a short period of time.  The Wish Bags are available at any time though and we encourage you to use them at home.

Sunshine Room (3-5’s)

Each group in the Sunshine Room have their own ‘Literacy Bear’ who likes to visit the children at home.  Children choose a story to take home with the bear and are encouraged to spend time reading with their parent/carer and the bear.  There is a diary in the bear’s bag which we encourage you to complete and the adventures that are recorded are shared with your child’s group upon the bears return.

Forest Family Fun Bags (3-5’s)

Our nursery are working with Forestry Commission Scotland to pilot ‘Forest Family Fun Bags’ and we are currently waiting on the delivery of the resources that will be put inside the bags.  We will be looking for families to be part of this pilot and borrow one of the bags to visit woodland areas so if you are interested in taking part, please speak to Karen.

Lending Library (All children)

We have a library of books available for your child to borrow at the end of their nursery session.  The library is on a Monday and Wednesday after the nursery session and will be based at the nursery entrance.  Borrowing books from the library supports your child’s literacy skills so please borrow a story to read with your child at home.

We are currently looking for a parent/carer to help organise the library.  If you can help us, please let us know!
