Primary 7 – Mr Walsh and I went a jog yesterday while in school – socially distanced of course!!! I am going another jog/walk at 2pm today for 20 minutes. Are you up for the challenge? If you get out a walk or a run – why not post a picture on here? We can do it

Word of the Day for Wednesday

Good morning P7, middle of the week already! The word for today is ‘malleable‘. Do you know what this word means?

Just a reminder that we have a catch up today on Teams at 11am. This is a chance for us to check in and share how you are getting on, if you’ve anything to tell us about or ask.

For 12 years, World Read Aloud Day has called attention to the importance of sharing stories by challenging participants to grab a book, find an audience, and read-aloud! The global effort is now celebrated in over 173 countries and counting.

Today we’re aiming to take part!

We were first told about this event by Barbara Henderson and it’s too good not to try.

The challenge will take place during our Teams time together and we’ll aim to read the first two pages of chapter 8 from Victorian Venture.

I’m hoping that we’ll be able to share the novel pages with you but if not hopefully you can open the novel on one device while you’re logged into the Teams chat on another, or if possible, print the first two pages of the chapter off, pages 62 + 63 as shown above, or even have the novel window open and minimise the Teams window, fingers crossed this will work for us.

I’m hoping that if we are able to do this, I’ll record us reading aloud and we can share this on the school Twitter page. #WorldReadAloudDay

R.E. for Wednesday

As we get closer to the end of next month, you’ll be completing your journal by adding your thoughts to pages 22 & 23 of your book and we’ll discuss this nearer the time.

Before you can do that however please take some time checking that you have recorded how you are using each of the gifts in your daily life, both at school & at home. We do understand that you’ll not be able to complete any more of the parish part of each page.

As you know, from when you were in P6 and when you started P7 we covered each of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, we were LEARNing about the gifts, the journal gives you the chance to say how you have ACTed with each gift and next month we’ll REFLECT.

This link will remind you of some actions that many of you will be doing without even realising. PFFA act
