Section 30 of the 1980 Education Act lays a duty on every parent of a child of School Age to provide for him/her efficient education suitable to his age, ability and aptitude.
Parents are invited to bring their children to the school for enrolment on the date arranged by the Education Officer. An intimation indicating the dates of enrolment is inserted in the local press.

Pupils who are 4 years of age on or before the end of February are admitted to school in August of the same year.

Pupils Moving into the Area.

1. At the beginning of the new School Session (August) parents should call at school with the child to enrol in the appropriate class.
2. Any parent moving to the area seeking a place in Knowetop Primary School for their child is welcome to come in to the school and have a look around. Please contact the Head Teacher for an appointment.
3. Parents, who do not live in the catchment area of the school, who wish to make a placing request for Knowetop Primary for their child should in the first instance contact Learning and Leisure Services
