Children can wear sports clothes (please note no football colours) and make a £1 donation to complete a mile challenge. Fun sports tasks will be set up in the hall. Children are asked to pay a £1 donation to take part in these. All donations will be paid to sport relief 2016.
Delightful dividers
P4/5 have been working hard on their division! We had fun today using our knowledge of division facts to play some games.
Fairtrade Coffee Morning – Sit Down for Breakfast, Stand Up For Farmers
Mrs McDaid and the Fairtrade committee would like to thank all parents, carers, relatives and friends for attending our Fairtrade coffee morning. It was a great success. The children were keen to talk about the work they have been doing in class and how everyone can help farmers to get a fair price for their products. A special mention to Glenmanor Parent Council for all their support today. The amount raised will be posted on the Glenmanor Blog as soon as possible and all proceeds will go to the Fairtrade Foundation.
P2 Time Tellers
The boys and girls in Primary 2 have been revising their knowledge of ‘o’clock’ and ‘half past.’ They used the SmartBoard to set the time of a big clock and used smaller clocks to test a friend on telling the time. Some children even tried a Time Bingo game!
GOING BANANAS FOR FAIRTRADE!
Miss Riach helped some groups of children to chop fair-trade bananas and use them to make banana on toast! I think they enjoyed it!
Health and Wellbeing Event
CHRYSTON HIGH SCHOOL HEALTH AND WELLBEING EVENT
Could I remind all parents/carers about our very exciting Health and Wellbeing Event at Chryston High School on the evening of Wednesday 9th March at 6:30pm. This event has been arranged in conjunction with Chryston High School and the cluster primaries. It will be a very informative and worthwhile event and I encourage you to show your support. Please return the tear off slips to Glenmanor PS Office by Tuesday 8th March to give an idea of numbers. You are however, welcome to turn up on the night if you can manage. Thank you.
