P1 children from P1 and P1/2 had an amazing time visiting Moodiesburn Church Centre today to experience the nativity story. Amazing experience and huge thank you to all involved.
Where does food come from?
P1 did some internet research to find out where food comes from. They now know that all food comes from plants or animals.
They were successful in discussing where different foods come from.
Next week they will be exploring how food changes from farm to fork. Â They will look at the stages wheat goes through to become bread.

Little Fire Fighters !
The children in the nursery were very eager to take on the role of a Fire Fighter and participate in the “5 Little Fire Fighters ,standing in a row ” song. They had so much fun painting pieces  of  cardboard red to make a super fire engine.
Stop ,Look And Listen !
The boys and girls in the nursery did really well participating in the road safety drama to learn how to cross a road safely. We used one of our little cars and we painted a zebra crossing to help the children understand and demonstrate how to keep safe whilst crossing a road.
Learning About Autumn
The boys and girls in the nursery have learned so much about Autumn , that they were able to look for Autumn objects whilst exploring the school grounds with Mrs Donald. The children found it very exciting to collect new seeds from the sunflower plant and use big numbers to count each one.
