Beautiful display of flowers by the Primary 2 and 3 art class. We were inspired by the painting ‘Sunflowers’ by Vincent Van Gogh. Excellent work boys and girls.
Busy, busy children today in Primary 3. We were making Christmas decorations for Saturday and the children coped really well with a tricky activity. We used cotton buds to make a snowflake then we painted them using glitter paint then added some little jewels to make them sparkly. Tomorrow we will cut them out and add some Christmas ribbon. Super effort today!
Primary 3 worked very hard during PE this week. We are learning about possession games and this week we focused on football. Next week we will be learning about the different ways we can use direction to keep possession of the ball. Well done primary 3! Keep up the wonderful hard work!
Well done to this pupil for winning the BEAR Scotland competition! She had to name the gritter and came up with the name ‘Mrs McGritter’.
The name will be displayed on one of the new spreaders that will be treating the M80 this winter.
This pupil will receive a special prize very soon and it may be delivered by the new spreader! How exciting!
Today in Maths P3 were learning about Grid References. The children enjoyed playing an active maths game on the smartboard and afterwards each group completed a follow up task. Primary 3 were superstars today!
Primary 3 really enjoying working out to Go Noodle. Today the class participated in a 10 minute activity, they worked so hard and most of all had lots of fun!
This afternoon some children from P2, P2/3 and P3 created wonderful, wicked witches using coloured card. The results were fantastic and the children were very proud of their Halloween creations!
This spelling group were learning about the phoneme ‘aw’. We read the phoneme story to help us find new words containing the phoneme. The children then used rhyming words to help them find more words. Well done ! You worked very hard.
This spelling group were learning about the phoneme ‘ea’ as in the word meat. They used Doodlebuddy on the iPads to write their new words. This group were able to write many words in different, colourful ways using the iPads. The children came up with many words and they made more by adding ‘ed’ and ‘ing’.
Some children also moved onto practising their common words. Well done everyone. Keep up this fantastic work.
