P1 worked hard on developing their counting skills. I was very impressed with how accurately you counted. Well done.

Open Event P1-P3
Glenmanor Primary held a very successful open morning. Parents and carers joined the children in their classes and helped them to design a Christmas Card.
Counting Activities
This morning P1 completed some active and written counting tasks. They worked so hard and did a great job.
Teamwork makes the dream work!
P1 are developing their teamworking skills in PE and in the classroom. They had to take turns to collect jigsaw pieces before completing the jigsaw puzzle as a team. I was so proud of your great effort today! 😀

This Week in P1
Maths
We had great fun learning all about the number 4. We used the iPads, Lego and paint. We also did a super job at helping Miss Scott to tidy up after all of our hard work.
Reading
We loved using finger torches during our reading lesson. We shone the light on the words as we read them and this helped us to follow the text.
PE
In PE we worked very hard to move our bodies in a controlled way through Bilateral Integration activities. We gently tapped our partner’s arms or legs and they had to lift the limb that was tapped. This is also helping us with our concentration and our ability to follow instructions.
First Day!
Primary 1 had a great first day and enjoyed mixing with their new friends.
Primary 1’s Poetry
Primary 1 were set the challenge of writing a poem which describes an animal. Each line should have had one adjective (describing word), one noun (naming word) and one verb (doing word).
Have a look at their great work.

Moving Toys
P1a enjoyed exploring the force of pushing to make wheeled toys move. The children realised that wheeled toys move faster and further when pushed down a hill.
P1a’s Busy Day!
Today all children did a great job at sports day, particularly in the bean bag race! 🏃🏽
They also made some seed packets and filled them with bee friendly flower seeds. They used the remainder of the seeds in the playground planters (after weeding them of course). 🐝🌸
