Where does food come from?
P1 did some internet research to find out where food comes from. They now know that all food comes from plants or animals.
They were successful in discussing where different foods come from.
Next week they will be exploring how food changes from farm to fork. They will look at the stages wheat goes through to become bread.
V FOR VERY HARD WORKERS!
Beat That Maths Test
Another successful week! All of the children beat their previous score or got full marks in a shorter space of time.
Feeling Festive!
P1 carried out some market research today to help them to decide on the flavours to use for the chocolate bars they are going to make for the Christmas fair. The most popular choices were milk chocolate and mint chocolate.
They also made a start on making tree decorations. I think they look good enough to pass quality control!
BEAT THAT!
Balancing Skills
This week P1 were learning to be creative whilst performing balances. They had to perform a balance on a different body part in each hoop.
Blue hoop – one leg balance
Yellow hoop – balance on knees
Red hoop – balance on hands and feet
I liked that you were creative and managed to hold each balance.
P1 Master Chef
Today P1 made leek and potato soup in the learning kitchen. First they harvested the leeks from the school garden before cutting some leeks, potatoes and carrots and putting them on to boil. Well done children. You did a great job! 😀
P1 Maths Homework
Play the sequencing from 1 to 10 game.
Barney’s Birthday Bash! 🎉🎁
