Cashless Lunch System and Online Payments from 20 October 2015

A cashless lunch system was installed in our gym hall during the Summer holidays. We has just been informed that this cashless lunch system and also an online payments system, will be up and running from 20 October onwards.

Each pupil will be given a card that can be used to pay for breakfast club, healthy tuck shop snacks and lunches. This card needs to be credited with money before it can be used. Pupils can bring money in to add to their cards or parents can use an online payment system to add or top up money on their child’s card.

Parents can also use the online payment system to pay for all school costs including school transport donations and excursionssuch as Kilbowie, Parent Council Disco  costs and non uniform day donations.  More details will follow very soon!

Welcome Back Letter 20 August 2015

20 August 2015

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to what promises to be another fantastic year for our pupils, parents and staff at Glenmanor Primary School and Nursery Class.

Our nursery children and primary pupils have settled in really well and look fabulous in their new uniforms. A special mention goes to our P1 pupils and parents. Well done pupils on making a wonderful start to P1 and thank you so much to all our P1 parents for supporting us with this important (and very emotional) transition.

I have included 3 key documents with a paper version of this letter, which is being issued via pupil post on 21 August.

  1. Annual Data Check

Please check this, amend as necessary, sign, date and return to school in the envelope provided.

  1. Working In Partnership With Parents School Key Information

This form outlines all the areas in which we ask for your support or permission. Please tick, sign and return to school in the envelope provided.

  1. Glenmanor Primary Year Planner

This planner gives you an overview of the busy year ahead. Planning a year ahead allows parents/carers to make arrangements to attend school events well in advance. Updates and further details will be issued in our termly newsletter and our communication booklets. While there may be changes to dates when planning so far in advance, we will make every attempt to minimise these. The PE timetable will follow shortly.

Please return the completed documents by Friday 28 August. Thank you.

Kind regards

An email from Stewart Colins –

Many thanks for letting myself and Chef Adrian visit your school last week, both Adrian and I believe it was a great success with the students and we hope you all feel the same.

School Recipes Scotland June 2015

Summer Service 24 June 2015

To help celebrate a very successful year pupils, staff, parents and members of the community came together to recognise our achievements and say goodbye and good luck to P7 and Mrs McLeod. We were entertained by both our junior and senior choirs.  “Midnight Sketch” who are a band from Chryston High performed two songs.

Pupils with perfect attendance were recognised with a certificate. Our school Chaplain, Mark McKeown spoke warmly to our P7’s about moving on and new beginnings.

Mrs Karen Wallace and Mrs Jackie Holmes from our Parent Council presented every P7 with a tie for high school, an autograph book, pen and a photograph from their P7 party. Thank you to the Parent Council for their continued hard work and dedication to raising money and supporting our school.

Mrs McLeod was presented with flowers from the Parent Council, a special book containing a good luck message from every child in the school and flowers from staff.

Thank you to all parents and members of our community for your continued support. We hope you have a great summer.
