Glenmanor Choir and Sense Scotland

On  Monday 23rd of November, twenty five  members of the Glenmanor choir attended an event called ‘Sense Scotland’  in the City Chambers in Glasgow.  The aim of the event was to raise money for people who are deaf, blind  physically challenged. This was a great opportunity for all the children who attended  the event.

The Glenmanor choir  is very keen to take part in  more charity events.  In the words of Miss O’Neill,  “I am very proud of the children that took part”.  The songs  the children sang were ‘Somewhere Only We Know’, ‘Tonight’, ‘Come And Join The Celebration’,  ‘Let It Go’ and ‘Emanuel’. The children had a fabulous time and thought that the building looked absolutely spectacular.

Pupils from Our School Choir Perform for Sense Scotland 23 November 2015

Pupils from our school choir excelled themselves at a concert in aid of Sense Scotlnd on Monday night. The concert venue was the beautiful Glasgow City Chambers and the pupils sang beautifully to an audience that included many Glenmanor parents and family members. Thank you for your fantastic support as always. We sold 59 of the allocated 60 tickets, making £501.50 for the charity.

P2 Explore Senses through Purposeful Play

The boys and girls in Primary 2 enjoyed taking part in Purposeful Play this afternoon to explore their topic of senses.

The children used a range of materials to create artwork of their own iris.

They used the I-pads and Smartboard to investigate the sense organs. Why not try out a website called, “Sid the Science Kid.”

They used play-dough at the malleable area to create models of their own sense organs!

Well done Primary 2!
