Today during IDL time, we learned some words in Swahili. Swahili is an African language spoken by around 120 million people. We learned how to say;

We have been trying really hard to improve our mental agility by practising our “Big Maths Learn Its” each day. Please also revise these sums at home to improve your time. Remember, we have 60 seconds!
Today we learned where in the world Africa is. We completed a mapping task and familiarised ourselves with the names of the African countries.
P5 welcomed 200 brown trout eggs last week and we have been looking after them very carefully. We have been monitoring the temperature, adding ice to keep it cool and checking for eggs that haven’t survived.
P5 are so enthusiastic and we are looking forward to Wullie paying us another visit on Wednesday.
This week, we will be starting our new topic, ‘Africa; We are All Born Free.’
