Our Right to Shelter – P1!

In Primary 1 our topic to investigate during Health Week was to keep “SAFE”.  Pat our Friendly Dragon set us a challenge on Day 1 – the Princesses were homeless and needed somewhere safe to live!

Over the past 2 days the children have been busy creating a beautiful new castle for them!  We have also discussed “our homes” and the families who live “safely” inside.

This learning also links to UNICEF’s – Rights of the Child – Article 27 – Our right to shelter.

Work begins on making some colourful bricks for the interior of our castle and also some wood for the fire.

The inside looks brilliant – so cosy and we can cook our dinner.

Here is the outside …. it’s a little bit boring!  What can we do?

Let’s make some bunting.
