Staying Safe Online
Includes a “10-minute guide for beginners” and a section on helping young people to stay safe on the Internet.  This site also includes a list of companies who also supply free  anti-virus and anti-spyware software suitable for home use.
Run by Child Exploitation and Online Protection, a law enforcement agency works in both online and offline environments it provides information to parents on how to protect their children from online danger.

Reference and Resources

Run by Education Scotland.  This site has a range of leaflets to explain how parents and carers can help with the education of their children.

A source of general information about helping your children at school, with learning games and activities suitable for primary school children.

Please encourage your children to visit the Pupil Zone where they will find fun and interesting websites to use.  These links can also be used as learning activities on days that schooling is disrupted due to bad weather.
