NHS Lanarkshire Test & Protect Letter

NHS Lanarkshire’s test and protect team is carrying out contact tracing after someone at Greenfaulds HS tested positive for Covid-19. They are currently self-isolating at home.

NHS Lanarkshire is working closely with North Lanarkshire Council with regards to the case and is contacting close contacts. Public health advice is being given to these individuals and they are being told to self-isolate.

Following the findings of a review, there is no evidence currently to suggest that there is transmission in the centre. The risk to the wider community has currently been assessed as low and the school will remain open.

Click on the link below for more details.

Prom Cancelled

Regretfully we have to inform everyone that the venue for the prom for the class of 2020, have once again postponed indefinitely. At this stage we have decided that we will refund the full amount to those young people and staff who paid for the event as it seems unlikely based on advice from the venue, that we will be able to host any event with the numbers involved any time in the near future. We would like to add at this point, we are still hoping to organise an event for perhaps a reunion of the group perhaps in school, when circumstances allow it. It was felt that based on the number of requests we have had for refunds, it would be best to ensure everyone got their money back as soon as possible. We will forward details to everyone on how the money will be returned in groups, starting next week. Thank you to everyone for their understanding and forbearance in a very difficult end of year for the S6 leavers .

New Lunchtime Arrangements

Things will be a bit different when we return for the new school year. It’s important that we follow strict procedures to keep everyone safe while there is still any risk of the coronavirus spreading again. With this in mind we now have access to a special phone app called fusion mobile which will allow pupils to pre-order food from their school cafeteria. This will ensure that there are no long queues at break or lunchtimes as well as taking away the need for handling cash. Please note a till will only be in operation only between 8 am and 9.30pm, for breakfast service, for those pupils not signed up to online payments and the pre-order app or those who have forgotten to order. This will allow everyone to pre-order before morning break and lunch time. When you pre order you will be given your collection point.

Please note the unique boarding code for the Fusion App will be text to parents on Tuesday the 11th of August
