All schools in Scotland follow the national curriculum, which is the Curriculum for Excellence. The Curriculum offered to your child refers to the totality of experiences offered to them across four contexts for learning: curriculum areas and subjects, interdisciplinary learning, ethos and life of the school as a community, and opportunities for personal achievement.
At Dykehead Primary School we worked as a learning community to determine what the main drivers were for our Curriculum. This shaped our Curriculum Rationale, as shown below. This is our ambitious vision how how we wish to grow and develop our curriculum, and links in to the work of our annual improvement plan.
