Pupils normally transfer to the local high school aged 11.5-12.5. This ensures that pupils have the opportunity to experience at least 4 year of secondary schooling.

Throughout the year, Primary 7 have the opportunity to work alongside staff from Cumbernauld Academy in various activities for example an art workshop for a four week block. The Head Teacher is Mr Mark Cairns.

Later in the school year, Primary 7 pupils are invited for a 3 day visit where they can enjoy a taste of their new school experience.
