Due to the Amber weather warning for tomorrow Wednesday 28 February, the decision has been taken to cancel Additional Support Needs transport operated by both the council and contractors.
We will continue to assess the weather conditions and update here at 7am on Wednesday 28 February, should a decision be made to close any schools.

Kick off your reading with this amazing challenge!
Scottish Book Trust and the Scottish Professional Football League Trust have joined up with 14 SPFL clubs and over 200 local libraries, to encourage primary school-age children to read in exchange for match tickets.
Borrow books from any participating library and receive free and discounted tickets for a child and an adult to SPFL football matches from participating clubs across Scotland.
Read four books for two tickets, it couldn’t be simpler!
How do I take part?
If your local library is taking part, children aged 5-12 can visit and pick up a Challenge card to register. If you are not already a library member, you can join for free.
You can collect stamps on your card until 31 May 2018. You can exchange your completed Challenge card for discounted tickets for eligible matches played before 31 October 2018. Tickets are subject to availability and early booking is recommended.
Which clubs are taking part?
You can exchange your completed Challenge card for discounted tickets to certain matches played at the above clubs. Please check with individual clubs for a full list of matches included in the Challenge. Tickets are subject to availability.
Which libraries are taking part?
I want to choose some books – where do I start?
Libraries are a great place to explore and to find books you will enjoy. Your local librarian will be happy to suggest different authors and types of books: picture books, novels, graphic novels, non-fiction – with so many to choose from you’ll never be bored!
Scottish Book Trust’s book lists are a good place to find your next read. They are arranged by age with lots of different themes so you’re sure to find something that grabs your attention.
You can also find over 300 book suggestions drawn up for the First Minister’s Reading Challenge.
As well as helpful advice for parents and carers to help make reading fun for children.
If you are a parent/carer and would like to hear from Scottish Book Trust with reading suggestions and tips for encouraging your child to read, please sign up here.

As part of our Malawi topic we welcomed Tony, who volunteers for Mary’s Meals, into class to speak to us about his work with Mary’s Meals and his 32 (!!!) visits to help children and families in Malawi. We learned a lot of new information and enjoyed looking at his pictures and videos. We are very keen to support this amazing project- so, watch this space!!
